• Brake before the turn, not during it. Entering a sharp curve at full speed is how most runs end; slow down on the straight, then accelerate again once the cart is settled on the rail.
• Treat every new track as a scouting run. The first attempt is for learning where the jumps and broken sections are — the clean run comes once you know what is around each corner.
• Feather the controls instead of holding them. Short taps on accelerate or brake keep the cart stable on narrow rails, where holding a key down too long throws you off the edge.
• Unlock new minecarts as soon as you can afford them. Better handling makes the later tracks noticeably more forgiving, and grinding an early track for coins is faster than crashing on a late one.
