Tips and strategy
- Match the bobbin to the yarn, never the other way round. Capacity is limited, so a bobbin that picks up a stray strand is one you no longer have for the colour it was meant to collect.
- Watch the belt's rhythm rather than the glowing yarn. Strands arrive in a repeating order, and once you can predict the next colour you can have the right bobbin waiting instead of chasing it.
- Send a bobbin out only for the strands at the front of the belt. One travelling behind its own colour will never fill, and once it is on the belt you cannot call it back.
- Treat the opening levels as a reading exercise. Pieces move slowly enough that you can learn the arrival order, and that order barely changes when the belts speed up later.
