Tips and strategy
- Right-click undo is the most useful tool in the game. Try the merge you are unsure about, look at what it does, and take it back if the thread no longer lines up.
- Rotation changes the shape, not the colour, so settle the sequence before you turn anything. A segment facing the wrong way still will not join, and spinning it mid-plan loses your place.
- Build outward from finished joins. Once a segment is locked into a complete thread it stops being a decision, and each completed join narrows where the remaining pieces can go.
- Expect the difficulty to step up at the later levels. Treat the early boards as practice at reading colours quickly, because the fiddly arrangements are saved for the end.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I rotate a piece in Wool Sorting?
- Double-click it. Rotation is separate from sliding, so you can turn a segment in place, which is what you want when the shape lines up but the colours are facing the wrong way.
- Can I undo a move in Wool Sorting?
- Yes, right-clicking takes back your last move. That makes the game forgiving to experiment in: if a merge is wrong you can pull it apart and try the other arrangement.
- Is Wool Sorting free to play?
- Yes. It is free in your browser with no download and no account, and the undo key means a wrong merge never costs you the whole board.
