• Defence is not a safety net, it is a turn. Holding K through an enemy's flurry costs you nothing and hands the tempo back, so block first and counter instead of trading hits you were never going to win.
• Displacement is both your escape and your opener. Pressing L to close the gap costs the same as pressing it to leave a bad fight, so decide before you commit whether you are chasing or retreating.
• Gathering Strength is a commitment, not a buff. Charging in the open invites exactly the punish you were saving it for, so start the charge behind cover or the moment an enemy whiffs a skill.
• Basic attacks build the pressure that the super moves cash in. Chaining J between skills keeps an opponent locked in place and stops them from simply walking out of the combo before the damage lands.
