About this game
2048 Merge is the sliding tile puzzle that turns arithmetic into a slow burn. Each swipe pushes every tile to the edge of the board and equal numbers fuse into their double. The rules take ten seconds to learn and a lot longer to master, because the board fills up fast once you start chasing the corner. No timers, no pressure — just one more attempt.
How to play
- 1Swipe or use the arrow keys / WASD to slide every tile.
- 2Two tiles with the same number merge into one.
- 3Reach 2048 — the game ends when no move is left.

Tips and strategy
- Pick one corner in the first few moves and never abandon it. Keep your largest tile pinned there and feed it from the same two directions every time.
- A descending chain along two edges is worth more than four loose mid-range tiles. Snake order is what makes the next merge appear without you having to plan it.
- When the board is nearly full the only safe move is one that merges. Read all four directions before you swipe, because a wasted move is what ends a good run.
- Resist merging everything you can reach. A 64 sitting in the corner is a bigger asset than two 32s stranded in the middle of the board.
